Center for Southeast Asian Studies

西京学院东南亚研究中心成立于2018年3月，秉持学校“服务国家战略与区域经济，把握‘一带一路’趋势”的定位，依托新加坡海外办学基地，联合盘古智库，以新加坡为核心，辐射泰国、马来西亚、印度尼西亚等东南亚国家，将人才培养、学术研究和国家发展战略紧密结合起来，开展教育、人文、经贸交流等系列研究。

The Center for Southeast Asian Studies of Xijing University was established in March 2018, adhering to the university’s position of “serving the national strategy and regional economy, grasping the trend of Belt and Road”, relying on support of a Singapore’s overseas school of the university and the Pangoal Institution. Our purpose is to carry out educational, cultural, economic and trade exchanges researches with Singapore as the core, covering Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and other southeast Asian countries.

西京学院作为西北地区唯一一所具有研究生教育资格的民办高校，现有四个省部级科研平台，无论是科研能力，还是实践经验，都具有一定的实力。而盘古智库由中外知名学者共同组成，植根于中国的公共政策研究机构，具有丰富相关的专家资源。中心的建设目标，意在结合西京学院的学科优势，以及盘古智库的专家资源，共同构建东南亚国家大学交流网络，开展教育合作及研究，力争将中心建设成为服务区域发展、国家发展战略的智库。

Xijing University, as the only private university with post-graduateeducationqualification in northwest of China, has four scientific research platforms on provincial and provincial level, both in terms of academic capability and practical experience. The Pangoal Institution, composed of well-known experts and scholars, focuses on China’ public policy and has rich relevant expert resources. The goal of the center is to build a university exchange network of Southeast Asian countries, and carry out educational cooperation and research, by taking advantage of Xijing University’s research ability and the support of The Pangoal Institution’s experts.

现中心研究团队成员10名，包括博士4名，高职职称教师6名，知名大学的兼职研究员2名，外聘专家2名，立项国家省部级研究课题4项，参与其他重大课题和地区性研究课题4项，发表了多篇高质量水平的学术论文，CSSCI期刊四篇，资政报告六份，参加高端学术交流活动三场，包括“‘一带一路’高端智库论坛”、“中国高等教育学会‘一带一路’智库合作联盟理事会”以及“‘一带一路’研究分会成立大会”等。

Currently, there are 10 members of research team of the center, includingPhDs, 6 assistant professors,2 part-time researchers and 2 external experts. We have finished 4 national provincial and ministerial research projects, taking part in other four major and regional research projects, publishing a number of high-quality academic papers (4 on CSSCI journals), 6 senior minister reports. We also participated in 3 high-level academic exchange activities, including Belt and Road High-end Think Tank Forum.

中心自成立以来，充分发挥西京学院在新加坡的海外国际学校的优势，先后邀请陕西省各高校教师共计304人次赴新加坡进行教学研修。学习期间，并邀请国立大学、南洋理工大学等多名教授、专家学者进行授课，并组织培训教师到各个大学进行田野调研和实地考察，实现了学术交流、文化交流双赢的局面。

Since its establishment, the center has made full use of the advantages of Xijing University’s oversea school, inviting 304 college teachers in Shaanxi University to Singapore for studying and visiting. During the visits, we also invited many professors and experts from some famous universities in Singapore to give lectures, and organized teachers to conduct field researcheson site, thus realizing the win-win of academic and cultural exchanges.
